Rev. Mary Gibson - Pastor
​
Rev. Mary Gibson became lead pastor at FUMC in July 2017. She preaches, leads worship, provides pastoral care, and supervises the work of the church as a whole, helping the congregation fulfill its mission. In her free time, Mary enjoys kayaking, spending time with friends, painting, & scrapbooking. Mary has two grown children, Eleanor & Heather. Email Rev. Mary here.
Jen Denny - Administrator for Communications
​
Jen joined the SLFUMC staff in October 2017. Her job includes managing communication and maintaining the website. She also prepares our weekly projections, manages our technology in the office, and serves on the Media Ministry and Worship Design Teams. Jen is married to Scott and they have 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Zach, Alexis, and Max. Jen is involved in many church activities, including the Summer Lunch Program, Mission & Outreach, funeral luncheons, & the Sequoia Sisters Circle. Contact Jen here.

Katy Doyle-Hohf - Director of Faith Formation
​
Katy joined the SLFUMC staff in October 2024. She was ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 2004 after completing her M.Div at Princeton Theological Seminary. Working closely with the lead pastor, Katy cultivates faith formation for all ages of the congregation, children, youth and adults, so that they may grow on their faith journey through education, fellowship, and service. Lindy Juergens - Administrator of Generosity
​
Lindy joined the staff in March 2015, bringing a wealth of financial experience to her role as treasurer. She has recently retired from her role as treasurer, but she serves as a backup when the treasurer is absent. Her current role includes recording contributions, coordinating mailings, and maintaining annual financial records. She serves on the Stewardship and Finance Teams. Lindy has been active in many roles at FUMC, including Finance Chair, Church Council Chair & VBS Director. She has been active in the Girl Scouts and is an international director for Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Lindy is married to Dave Kehoe and has 2 adult children, Katherine & Connor. Contact Lindy here.
Jen Liskey - Band Leader
Jen joined the staff in 2024 as praise band leader. Her role includes database and volunteer management, program and message series planning, music worship coordination and holiday programming. Her skill specialty is vocal performance. Contact Jen here.
Janis Norton - Custodian
​
Janis Norton, our church custodian, is our longest-serving staff member, having come on board in 2000. Visitors and members often comment on how clean the church is! She has lived in South Lyon or New Hudson almost all of her life and knows many long-time members of the church and community. Married to Danny, she is the proud mother of Jennifer and Joy and the proud grandmother of Bruce. In her free time, she bowls, takes walks, rides her bike, and reads. Contact Janis here.
Heather Shipley - Nursery Coordinator
Heather joined the staff in 2020 as nursery coordinator and has recently returned following studying abroad for a year. Her role includes managing volunteers for the nursery on Sunday mornings. Contact Heather here.
