Rev. Mary McInnes - Pastor
​
Rev. Mary McInnes became lead pastor at FUMC in July 2017. She preaches, leads worship, provides pastoral care, and supervises the work of the church as a whole, helping the congregation fulfill its mission. In her free time, Mary enjoys kayaking, spending time with friends, painting, & scrapbooking. Mary is married to Damon and they have two grown children, Ben & Madeline, and two daughters still living at home, Eleanor & Heather. Email Rev. Mary here.
Kendi Holcomb-Densmore - Director of Faith Formation​
Kendi joined SLFUMC in July 2019 as the Director of Education & Youth Ministries. She oversees our entire Education program, including Sunday School, Children's Church, Confirmation, Youth Group, Youth Group Lite, & the Children's Message. Kendi has a BS degree in Music Education and an MA degree in Christian Education. Prior to arriving at SLFUMC, she spent 17 years working at Knox Church in Kansas. She is pleased to be back in Michigan and in Ypsilanti, close to family. She is an avid reader, a creative spirit, and a hockey fan. Contact Kendi here.
David Bassin - Director of Music Ministries

David Bassin, Director of Music, has served FUMC since 2003. In addition to playing the organ and piano at most services, he directs the Chancel Choir and Celebration Ringers and coordinates special music for summer and seasonal services. He also teaches music at North Road Elementary School in Fenton. David earned his Masters of Music in Keyboard Performance from the University of Michigan in 2004 and has arranged music for choir and bells. He and his wife, Fallon, live in Highland with their son, Gavin, and daughter, Avery. When he’s not working, he enjoys nature walks and home improvement. Contact David here.
Jen Denny - Administrator for Communications

Jen joined the SLFUMC staff in October 2017. Her job includes managing communication and maintaining the website. She also prepares our weekly projections, manages our technology in the office, and serves on the Media Ministry and Worship Design Teams. Jen is married to Scott and they have 2 sons, Zach and Max. She is active with her boys' activities and is involved in many church activities, including the Capernaum Health Clinic, funeral luncheons, & the Sequoia Sisters Circle. Contact Jen here.

Lindy Juergens - Administrator of Generosity
​
Lindy joined the staff in March 2015, bringing a wealth of financial experience to her role as treasurer. She has recently retired from her role as treasurer, but she serves as a backup when the treasurer is absent. Her current role includes recording contributions, coordinating mailings, and maintaining annual financial records. She serves on the Stewardship and Finance Teams. Lindy has been active in many roles at FUMC, including Finance Chair, Church Council Chair & VBS Director. She has been active in the Girl Scouts and is an international director for Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Lindy is married to Dave Kehoe and has 2 adult children, Katherine & Connor. Contact Lindy here.
Molly Klemens - Admin. for Membership & Treasurer
Molly joined the staff in 2016 as an assistant treasurer and expanded her role to include the responsibilities of the administrator for membership in late 2020 and treasurer in 2021. Her role includes maintaining the church database (CCB), membership records, calendar events, attendance records, & background checks. She also serves as the treasurer and manages accounts payable, payroll, taxes, and financial reporting to the Finance Team. Molly is married and has 2 sons. She is a talented soprano in the Chancel Choir and is an active member of the Finance Team. Contact Molly here.
Janis Norton - Custodian
​
Janis Norton, our church custodian, is our longest-serving staff member, having come on board in 2000. Visitors and members often comment on how clean the church is! She has lived in South Lyon or New Hudson almost all of her life and knows many long-time members of the church and community. Married to Danny, she is the proud mother of Jennifer and Joy and the proud grandmother of Bruce. In her free time, she bowls, takes walks, rides her bike, and reads. Contact Janis here.
