Chili Cook Off
The Chili Cook Off is a competition sponsored by the Trustee and held annually, usually in February. Awards are given to the most unusual chili, the hottest chili, the best chili made by a youth and the best chili made by an adult. Proceeds of the cook off go to a project designated by the Trustees.

Talent Auction
The Talent Auction is a dinner and auction sponsored by the Mission Team and is held in late winter/early spring. Unusual items up for auction include a fishing trip, proceeds of a garden, cookies of the month, bread budding, handmade silk scarves,  etc.  The  Auction is held every other year. Proceeds from the auction support our covenant missionaries and other projects designated by the Mission Team.

Rummage Sale
The rummage sale is a sale for the community that is usually held in June. Proceeds of the sale are used to help send youth to camp or on mission trips.

BBQ Dinner

The BBQ Dinner is a community dinner and is held each year during Pumpkinfest. Proceeds of the dinner go to the local mission, Active Faith.

Family Fun Event
The Family Fun Event is a free holiday event sponsored by the Christian Outreach and Education Teams held in conjunction with South Lyon's Cool Yule celebration in the early part of December. Children and adults make crafts together and enjoy hot chocolate, coffee, cookies, popcorn, and hot dogs. Christmas-themed crafts remind participants of "the reason for the season."
